Web Site Statistics
Have you checked your stats for your web site and/or e-newsletter? Did you know you have easy access to these stats? Do you know why you need to know your stats? How often should you check your stats? What can I do to improve my stats?

These are many of the questions you may find yourself wondering about. At Next Step Design Solutions we want to answer some of these questions. If you have never checked your stats - now is the time. Call the administrator of your web site and ask for the login information for your stats, if you don't have them. Print and review your stats by the month and then by the quarter. These stats can give you insight into how effective your web marketing is, and answering questions such as: Is your web site underdeveloped? Is it out of date?

What do we mean by a web site being underdeveloped? An underdeveloped web site may not be giving your clientele the right picture of who you really are and why they should be partnering with you. In the new face of marketing, it is important to create a following. With an underdeveloped web site, they may not see the reason to follow you. A web site that is out of date is of no use either. Your web site is a reflection of your business. If your web site is not kept fresh and up to date and does not provide details about what is up and coming, you may be losing and leaving would be, could be clients behind.

Research shows that the majority of people are using the web to investigate and determine their buying power. Even if they choose to come to the store to purchase, chances are they first did some web research. In reviewing your stats, you can determine your influence and push to a community, or following of people, interested in your product or service.

Your stats can also tell you if your recent marketing push or connection has increased your internet presence. You can then relate that information back to sales and contacts during that time period to see if it is producing results. From this you can either rearrange your plan, or continue forward adjusting as you go.

It would be beneficial to get into the habit of checking your stats monthly or quarterly, and review that information against your current marketing plan. Get out your calendar of to do's and add stats to it. It only takes a few minutes and it can mean the difference between success and failure.

How can you improve your web stats? Keep your content fresh and updated. Add a blog for useful information. Get connected through various social business networks. Have a news section on your web site that provides up to date information about your industry and what is happening in your local and current market. These are only some of the ways that can begin to set you apart from the rest. Call us today and schedule a consultation to find out how to take the Next Step.
